Pierce on his Ears Have Ears soundtrack:
“Environment Monitoring” is a new installation piece that I am preparing for Fall 2016. This was an opportunity for me to compose the sound first in advance, helping me to shape and plan what the piece will be like. I worked with researchers at the Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory in Braga to understand their work and processes - the installation piece will show an abstract and fictional form of their studies on how to detect pathogens and contaminants in early stages. This is an imaginary soundtrack to the future installation."
