An exclusive live recording from Australian/Scots electro-acoustic trio Sensaround.
Sensaround work in a unique middle ground between melodic jazz ambience, ghostly dub and post-punk experiments, including lo-fi rhythms, woodwind melodies and Rhodes tones that are set awash in free percussion.
This live recording was made in 2016 when the group toured Australia, the same year in which their new album heart/noise (hellosQuare) was recorded.
This recording was also made on the same day band member Shoeb Ahmad’s samplers were stolen from her hotel room, therefore the group take on a strange mood with a one-off sonic proposition of Ahmad using a noise guitar approach to relieve the days tension amongst saxophonist Raymond MacDonald’s tonal arpeggios and the delicate electronics of Alister Spence.
