Shoeg, aka Carlos Martorell is a media technician who’s work focuses on the symbiotic relationship between humans and technology.
Intrigued by the relationship between body movement, image and sound, Shoeg has developed his own tools and repurposed technology to create sound, as well as using Max/MSP, hardware and software synths, motion sensors, data collection, Ableton Live and Unity. Aside from making music as Shoeg, he performs as part of Ensemble Topogràfic and the VOID collectives.
His exclusive soundtrack contribution Resilience, is a recorded motion sensor live jam which he was inspired to create after observing alpine mountain flora and its adaptation process through time.
