Australian born, London based producer Yaws is contributing an exclusive soundtrack to Ears Have Ears this week.Hailing from Brisbane, the self-described 'weirdo downer techno' artist has a background in sonic design and has supported the likes of Rival Consoles and Giant Swan. His debut 12" DOUBT is due out on Purely Physical in June
Yaw's 16 min soundtrack Feel the Energy attempts to systematically digest the anxieties that underline contemporary life. Using aspects of pop culture and technology as conceptual starting points, Yaws employs rhythmic builds and crescendo-like anticlimaxes to de-construct our ideas around “club music'. Expect to hear Korg Volca beats, Korg MS-20 bass sounds, field recordings, computer manipulation and abrasive electronics!
