JP Metis is a Filipino-Québécois mestizo music lover from Montréal. The self-proclaimed ''relieved romantic'' (romantique soulagé) works as a copywriter and is a founding member of the Inner Circle collective. He started collecting records as a teenager and took up DJing in 2015. He recently cofounded @public_averti, a mix series anchored in collections' overlooked, enigmatic, and often poetic sections. Behind the booth, he has a full range of sensibilities spanning a variety of sounds and a taste for off-piste music, broadening the expectations of listeners and dancers.
