It seems like the visual team put more time and effort into the daemon interactions in this episode. The Magisterium looks like it put all of its resources and money into weapons technology. Mrs. Coulter does her mental jujitsu on Thorold and then commands an entire airborne military regiment and they for some reason follow her orders. Lyra says goodbye to Iorek. She also has to mourn deeply in this episode! Her and Will crossover into new worlds!
