It started with a ukulele riff, and after recording it, and everything turning out sunny, but somehow sad, my thoughts turned to a friend of mine who's been stuck on a different continent with her son due to Covid. Somehow it became a country ballad along the way.
There once was a woman
Who fell into a hole
And came out into the sun
The other side was sunny
And peaceful and warm
She just couldn’t find anyone
And climbing back up
Out of that hole
Wasn’t really an option
Her boy needed safety
And she needed peace
And everybody needs someone
So she put on her boots
And tried to find some
So she and her boy
They got a little house
And then she had to cry some
Because of all the silence
Because of all the noise
Because of all the help
From everyone
Cause everyone was kind
And everyone was nice
She just couldn’t find anyone
I tried to let her to know
That it will be OK
But somehow the signal was gone
So she put on her boots
And tried to find some
