Description

A bad day this January turned into a pretty nice ballad about a failed pricefighter. No guitar used for the exquisite noise.

TKO
I tried to get out of the corner
I tried to get up off my knees
I used to come out swingin, now I’m just a former

A pile of meat and memories
There’s mud inbetween my temples
my head’s where my balls used to be
and if I had a horse he would kick me
And if I had a friend he would see

What I’ve become
(what he’s become)
Just pay no attention
I have no complaints
Nothing worth mentioning

But every time I go down
and they count up to ten
I don’t know if I can stand
to ever do it again
And when I get up
theres a’creakin’ and a’crackin
And a’tickin’

but still I just throw myself back in

You can try to get out of the corner
You can try to get up off your knees
You might want to beg for forgiveness
The only thing you’’ll ever be (is)

What I’ve become
(what he’s become)
Just pay no attention
I have no complaints
Nothing worth mentioning

But this last round is mine
Unanimous decision
That bell is a-ringin
That bell is a-ringin’
