I wrote this song around 2006 when I was in the band The Dad of Rock. I happened to be flipping through the channels on the TV in the band practice space and stumbled upon Ernest Angley's show on WBNX and heard him utter the phrase "Jesus loves you, richer, fuller, deeper, sweeter!" I scrambled to get a recording device set up in case he said it again. It never happened but he always has a way of speaking in an overtly sexual manner when referring to God or Jesus. So with the phrase memorized, I recorded a few other clips of Ernest (heard as a brief intro and the song outro) and set to work writing lyrics and a guitar riff. The song never made it out of 8-Track demo stage, but here it is. Those of you familiar with Ernest will understand some of the references:
