"Victory in Europe Day" commemorates May 8th, 1945, when Nazi Germany surrendered and fascism was stopped in Europe. We celebrate the great victory of the Soviet Union, Allied powers and partisan fighters who all struggled fiercely against the Axis powers. This class goes into VE Day and its significance to contemporary issues.
