Listen

Description

Listen in as we catch up with Kim Alexander, extraordinary educator, whose latest adventure with GRIT was launching the inaugural Black Voices in Literature course at her high school. Driven by the same focus on mental health that we heard about in episodes 6 and 19, Kim’s latest endeavour was her effort to ensure Black students see themselves and hear their stories in English literature, many for the first time. Throughout our spirited conversation, Kim shares how being vulnerable and open to candid feedback from her students allowed her to learn as much from them as they learned from her!
