Mayor Buddy Dyer has led Orlando's astonishing surge of stadium and arena construction. The $210 million redevelopment of the city's Citrus Bowl Stadium is nearing completion, set to host the Florida Classic between Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman on Nov. 22, followed by the Russell Athletic Bowl in December and the Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day—in addition to the multi-million dollar creation of 2015 Cure Bowl he took time to announce on Thursday.
