Description

This was the week that the council published it's £420m budget for 2021/22. We have digested the numbers and sat through the zoom calls so you don't have to. We also spoke to Carla Denyer from the Greens, as well as Nicola Bowden Jones from Labour who buth submitted budget amendments. However, after a decade of austerity was there actually much room for disagreement between councillors? Is the real action in the huge private sector partnerships that didn't grab the headlines?

At the end we spoke to Simon Holmes from St Philips Marsh Nursery school who is objecting to plans to build a waste processing plant just metres from his nursery. But is an industrial estate an appropriate place for a nursery school?
