This piece is based on an ancient Irish spell, which I first heart in the film "Excalibur," where Merlin casts the spell to make King Uther Pendragon take on the likeness of the Duke of Cornwall and thus trick the Duke's wife, Igraine, to lie with him. As Uther lies with Igraine in the Duke's castle, the Duke dies fighting Uther's army. Thus, is Arthur begotten.
