This exquisite ‘Berceuse’ (the word means a lullaby or cradle song) is based on a traditional Russian folk song. It, and the improvisation that follows it, can hardly fail to minister deep peace and solace to our hearts. At the same time as nurturing our spirits, however, we can surely find ways to use this inspiring music to lift all who are suffering before the throne of God: whether on account of their faith, through illness, oppression or any kind of lack.
