Your enemies cringe before your mighty power
Everything on earth will worship you
They will sing your praises shouting your name in glorious songs
Come and see what our god has done
What awesome miracles he performs for people
He made a dry path through the red sea and his people went across on foot
By his great power he rules forever
He watches every movement of the nations
Let no rebel rise in defiance.
Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing His praises.
Our lives are in his hands and he keeps our feet from stumbling
Knock on the doors of rich and poor alike, Lord Jesus –
right across the world,
from Southend to South America,
let a profound reawakening arise.
Let no soulish power cause godly longings to take wrong turns,
lest those who You are drawing
turn aside after lesser goals,
or be hijacked by other powers,
and promising starts prove but the falsest of dawns.
In all things keep the stream of our longings
within the safety bounds of holy ground
as they arise to this awakening call.
In the power of conquering compassion,
in the first light of glimmering dawn,
whisper precious insights
that will survive the noonday heat
and reach their highest peak.
