Christ is risen from the dead . . . He is risen indeed.
Under Soviet rule, it was all but impossible to share one's faith in public, but after a university lecturer had poured forth his atheistic indoctrination for a long lesson, a student asked for the right of reply. Very grudgingly the lecturer replied that he could have a maximum of two minutes.
"Oh I won't need anything like as much as that," the student replied. Turning to the rest of the class he declared, Christ is risen!"
Almost everyone responded immediately, "He is risen indeed!"
The lecturer didn't know where to look or what to say."
Enjoy this trumpet piece by Torelli, played by Anthony Thompson, that we recorded at the House of the Open Door some years ago.
