Good people all who seek the Lord

What our great God has done for us
In sending His beloved son

In Bethlehem upon that morn
The bless’d Messiah was born for us,
Near Bethlehem the shepherds kept
Their nightly watch o’er lambs and sheep
When suddenly appeared a host:
mighty angels praising the Lord
'Prepare and go,' the angels said
'To Bethlehem, be not afraid
For there you’ll find God’s gift to all
A princely babe, sweet Jesus born.
With thankful heart and joyful mind
The shepherds went, this babe to find
And as God's angel had foretold
They did our Saviour Christ behold
Within a manger he was laid,
And by his side the virgin maid.
Attending on the Lord of life
Who came on earth to end all strife.
Good people now and ev’ry day

For now on Earth good will to men
