"What better way to heat things up for the return of club season than the first official single of 2022 and the first official Dubstep single for the label. Sketchi makes an appearance on 1Forty for the first time in three years after two successive BSS appearances (1FBSS003/1FBSS004) see’s him return to channel his earlier 140 influences with a record ready to make shockwaves across the dubstep scene.
"1Forty has featured a selection of artists on the Label from its home in Leeds and Sketchi is part of those very grassroots. Starting off his journey learning to mix and produce at the age of 14, growing up in the same area of Leeds a musical relationship was born with Mikey B thanks to their shared love for UK Bass music.
"Taking inspiration from the early era of Grime and Dubstep along with the artists he follows across the bass music spectrum that have such a strong focus on low end sound design such as My Nu Leng, Taiki Nulight, S.P.Y, Dimension, Joker and Enigma Dubz (the latter two being no surprise here) he serves up ‘Osami’ to announce his return."
