March’s Aussential Mix comes courtesy of 27Club – the deeper, darker techno alias of UK-born Adam, who’s been in the game since he was 16. Under his better-known Facade project, he’s released on heavy-hitting labels like Armada, Spinnin’, Discover, and Black Hole, with support from a seriously wide range of A-list DJs.
In 2015, he took things back to his roots and joined the Joof Recordings roster with his track Dystopia, which featured a remix from longtime friend Matt Holliday and picked up a solid underground following. That led to remix opportunities for the likes of The Digital Blonde and John 00 Fleming, plus a stack of original releases and a residency at Dancelovehub in London.
Now based in Sydney, Adam is diving deeper into the 27Club project, bringing moody, progressive techno to the forefront – though a new Facade album is also in the works. His Aussential Mix blends his signature sounds with tracks from LEKTRK, the late great Tomchilla <3, Tophee, and a couple of unreleased IDs – including one with Narel. A proper journey.
