Hey hey ! I didn't record a new vocal sample this week. Instead, here's an A Cappella Cover of The Unquiet Grave that, being a Penny Dreadful fan, I recorded a couple of years ago with some rain in the background (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lJ0eYm9sMM).
"The Unquiet Grave" is an English folk song in which a young man mourns his dead love too hard and prevents her from obtaining peace. It is thought to date from 1400 (Yep, I totally copy-pasted Wikipedia !)
I believe the version I'm singing was adapted by l'Orchestra Cinematic for the TV Show Penny dreadful (Chapel Music). It is for cover purposes only.
So you have 3 options:
- Get to an agreement with Chapel Music and / or l'Orchestra Cinematic to be able to release your cover commercially (as a cover, so not with another title than "The Unquiet Grave").
- Do it for fun and put it on Soundcloud & Youtube for free giving proper credits to the track (mentioning "The Unquiet Grave" and where this version comes from in the description).
- Chop it finely and use it as a unrecognizable sample in your own track and do what you want with it (I'm kidding... Am I ? Eheheh).
