法式防疫：就沒那麼浪漫了…
For the third time since the pandemic began, the French are preparing to go into lockdown. In an address on March 31st, President Emmanuel Macron announced new measures that will come into effect on Saturday. They will restrict all movement to within 10 kilometres of the home. Schools will be closed for 3-4 weeks this spring. A national curfew, already in place, will continue to apply, and home-working made compulsory where possible. Mr Macron had hoped to avoid another national lockdown, and ruled one out in January against scientific advice. He argued in particular that it was important to keep children in schools, which have been open all academic year. But “le variant anglais” has decided otherwise. New cases are soaring. Hospitals are under pressure. Accused of acting too late, Mr Macron is now hoping that an accelerated vaccination campaign will keep the lockdown, however unpopular, to a single month.
自新冠疫情以來，法國正準備進入第三度封城。法國總統馬克宏 (Emmanuel Macron) 在 (今年) 3月31日的演講中宣佈，新一輪的封城措施將在本週六 (即 4月3日) 生效。此舉將限制所有 (法國國民的) 行動在居家方圓十公里內。至於學校將在這個春天關閉三至四週。一直都在實施的全國宵禁則會持續，而居家辦公則很可能變成強迫性實施。馬克宏曾希望避免全國性的封城，並曾在 (今年) 一月份時不顧科學家們的建議，駁回了封城提議。他特別指出，重要的是讓孩子們上學，而且學校已經開放整個學年了。但「英國變種病毒 (的出現)」則另當別論。新病例激增。醫院正承受著壓力。馬克宏遭控行動慢半拍，而他現在希望加速後的疫苗接種計畫能將 (無論多麼不受歡迎) 封鎖措施控制在一個月以內。
