Today's guest is Kim Crowder. Kim is a native Appalachian in long-term recovery. Born in Erwin, TN and raised in Kingsport, she holds a BA in English from Emory & Henry College and an MA in English from ETSU. Currently, she is pursuing a MSW at ETSU as well as a clinical certification in alcohol and drug studies.
Kim has worked in medication-assisted treatment for nearly a decade, but is currently transitioning to new work in community mental health as a trainer for the State of Tennessee and as a facilitator for a private firm based in middle Tennessee.
