Show Notes:
As we continue in our series on alternative approached to healing, today I am sharing about my background in using Observed Experiential Integration (OEI) as well as a related therapeutic approach called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Both of these therapies integrate neurological understandings of trauma/high stress experiences and the ways these experiences map themselves out into the brain and body. Both approaches rely very little on talking and much more of visual processing. Listen in to hear how they work and how they can be of tremendous benefit to First Responders and Front Line Workers struggling with posttraumatic stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, anxiety, panic, and other occupational stress injuries.
