Jamal speaks to succeeding as a low-income first-generation African-American male in college and working toward earning a medical degree. Enjoy his vivacious personality and be inspired by his road to success. Jamal a biology graduate of NC State and was an active member of SSS. He is currently attending Duke University earning a graduate degree in Bioethics and Science Policy. This episode was recorded Summer 2017. Jamal is now preparing to be a M.D. at Meharry Medical College.
