Value is the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. What value does money have for us? What is material wealth worth to us? Do we overvalue money?

It’s important we understand the true value and nature of money because:
- How we value money has far-reaching, long-lasting impacts
- If we view money as our boss, our security blanket, our measuring stick, or the object of our affection, it can cause all kinds of problems in our lives. Money wasn’t intended to fulfill any of these roles.
- The true value of money is only temporary
- Money is temporary but God is eternal.
- You can’t take it with you – don’t let it overtake you.
- We should invest it wisely
- Lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven
- Using our material blessings to glorify God will always be a worthwhile investment with
