Father Garry Koch reminds us that Jesus taught us that there is no room for ego in the proclamation of the Gospel. The Gospel will be more widely rejected than it is accepted in every time and place. When Jesus went back to His hometown of Nazareth the people were fundamentally closed to His message. Jesus doesn't take it personally, but shakes off the dust from His feel and He left Nazareth for the last time.
