If you ask Merie, the luckiest and most defining moment of her childhood was being asked by her parents if she’d like to learn an instrument. The words “YES, GUITAR” instantly shot out of her mouth like a bullet.
She started playing at 8 and had the most caring and sensitive guitar teacher one could imagine, who encouraged her to sing.
Soon after she began writing her first songs on acoustic guitar at the age of 11, in English ever since.
