The Lord asks us today whether we have truly grasped the gravity of our sin and its consequences. Have we indeed seen Christ on the cross and comprehended the ugliness, shame, and vileness that he had to endure?
It's crucial to realize that God's love for us compelled Him to send His Son to suffer and die for our sins. This was not a mere obligation but a demonstration of God's immense love for us. The question arises: What do we do with this understanding?
It's not just about improving our self-image, gaining a promotion at work, or finding temporary happiness. The purpose of Christ's death on the cross was to reconcile us with God and bridge the gap caused by our sin. In response, we should acknowledge our need for His forgiveness, embrace His sacrifice, and commit ourselves to following Him wholeheartedly.
It's time to pray.
