Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
When we come to Jesus Christ, we discover we're no longer our own. Jesus paid for us with His blood. It's only reasonable to give our lives as a living sacrifice for His purposes. We are to be yielded to Christ.
As the apostle Paul once prayed, “Lord, what would you have me to do?” What is your purpose for my life? You'll be surprised when the Lord begins to answer, where He will send you, and what He will give you to speak. You might not know the people He will ask you to go to or things He will have you do—things you would never have thought about. It's time, my friend, for us to discover our purpose in the coming storm.
It's time, again, to pray.
