Ruth and Boaz is a story a lot of people refer to when they want o talk about romance! Ruth is a widow who remained loyal to her deceased husband's family and Boaz is a relative of the family, who appears to be advanced in years, wealthy, and well respected.
Ruth 2 picks up with Naomi and Ruth back in Judah after the death of Naomi's husband and 2 sons. One of her daughters-in-law took Naomi's offer to remain in Moab and remarry but Ruth dedicated herself to her mother-in-law and followed her back to Bethlehem.
Ruth 2 is the beginning of the interaction and romance between Boaz and Ruth.
Mr Daley and Shadow focus on Ruth 2 to break down the decision to stay close to Boaz and his decision to avail himself to Ruth. What was the significance? Was he just an old man looking to take advantage of a young woman's misfortune? Was he just after the estate of his deceased relatives?
