Description

We had a great wide ranging conversation in Los Angeles. Chicano Batman's sound is best described by bassist Eduardo Arenas as a 1980s backyard carne asada and their soundtracks. Lyricists Bardo Martinez talks about growing up in La Mirada and needing music to help him get past the largely white society. Finally, we get into really fun anecdotes about playing in far out places like touring Japan through “Barrio Gold” records and performing before a japanese drag queen rock band.
