Description

Today's episode is another installment of the publication Urania (wiki link). It was a feminist journal published from 1919 to 1940 focused on providing evidence of equality between sexes by eradicating the binary sex system. I find it to be a startling presentation of concepts that are still considered radical in modern day projected onto stories that are distinctly 100 years old.

This week I am reading the double issue Nos. 79 & 80 , January-April 1930 (pdf). It includes "Marriage is Taboo" about the Guangdong Province, and a story about Ryōkan. The story I removed was "Synthetic Religion" (which is anti-semitic Nazi doctrine by Ernst Graf zu Reventlow).

All events mentioned are pulled directly from the QBurgh calendar.
