The Salvation Army has been serving Southern Nevada for over 79 years, providing various critical services including drug and alcohol treatment, emergency shelters, veterans' programs, anti-human trafficking shelters, LGBTQ safety dorms, vocational training, housing assistance, after-school programs, senior housing, and emergency disaster services. They serve over 300,000 meals annually and provide shelter for 150,000 nights each year. The Red Shield Kitchen Showdown, a fundraising event, features executive chefs Jeremy and David, who will cook a three-course meal. The event aims to raise funds and highlight the Salvation Army's impact on the community.
