What does it take for someone to follow a passion, and start their own business? Today's guest, and my tattoo artist, Kelsey Overbey is going to tell us all about it. We talk about how we've known each other since high school, and how she first got into tattoos, and eventually began an apprenticeship to become a tattoo artist. From there, she went on to work for a local tattoo & piercing shop in Nashville, before eventually starting her own tattoo shop, Fate and Fortune Tattoo. We go into the importance of having a mentor, and what all is involved with starting your own business that most may not know about. We also talk about how she managed to stay sane during this process, because let's not forget, this all took place during the Pandemic! Kelsey's also going to talk to us about how taking advantage of traveling, and her love of plants helped her find ways to avoid and deal with burnout.
