In the podcast this week, we’re speaking to children’s author, Emma Norry.
Emma is a rising star as a writer with a particular interest in exploring difficult issues and complex characters in a realistic contemporary and accessible style.
Emma, who writes under the names E.L Norry and EM Norry wrote two short stories as part of the Homecoming anthology in celebration of VE day. She has also written for Penguin’s extraordinary Lives series, chronicling the life of Nelson Mandela and footballer, Lionel Messie.
Emma’s first middle grade fiction title, Amber Undercover, was published in April this year and, more recently, has created a ‘Choose your own Adventure’ story which was included in ‘Happy Here’, a book containing 10 stories from black authors and illustrators. Happy Here was published in August this year.
