Alan was born in St. Paul’s Hospital on December 24, 1937. His young years were spent in Cloverdale, British Columbia, Vegreville and Medicine Hat, Alberta. He received a BSc in Pharmacy and a Hospital Pharmacy Residency specializing in Hospital Pharmacy Practice. He has presented many seminars on hospital pharmacy practice in every Province in Canada and one in Hawaii. He is married, has 4 children and 16 grandchildren. His hobby is Oil Painting: Still Life, Landscapes, and people if necessary.
