Description

In today's episode, we continue our exploration of "The Hero's Journey," a universal narrative that resonates with our own lives. This journey often begins with an ordinary person receiving a call to adventure, which they may initially resist. Throughout this journey, they encounter struggles, form new friendships, and ultimately experience transformation.

This week we take a closer look into the nature of struggle, which can manifest in various forms—sickness, financial hardship, loss, and emotional pain. While we cannot predict the specific challenges we will face, we can choose how to respond to them. Our common adversary, Satan, seeks to undermine our confidence by lying about our identity, God's character, and our sense of isolation. By recognizing these lies, we can combat them with the truth found in Scripture.

We reflect on our identity as children of God, created in His image, and the honor and power that comes with that. We are reminded that God is compassionate, merciful, and slow to anger, and that He does not punish us as we deserve. Instead, He offers us love and grace.
