THE NATURE OF RESURRECTION

1 - WITHOUT DEATH, THERE IS NO NEED FOR RESURRECTION.

Genesis 2:16-17 - And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Psalm 19:7-11 - The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Psalm 119:9 - How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.

John 15:3 - You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

2 - WHAT GIVES POWER TO DEATH IS SIN.

John 10:18 - No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 - “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

He is the Word of God incarnate - making this declaration:
I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE

John 11:17 - 17 On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.
