Words Are Powerful
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
James 3:2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
3 we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. 7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

Ephesians 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children;
The goal is not to get God to come into agreement with your words, the goal is to get your words to come into agreement with God’s Word.

If your words are in conflict with God’s Word it always produces death.
Your words determine your direction.

James3:8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
Exodus 4:10 Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”
11 So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? 12 Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”
God wants to help you manage your mouth.
Luke 12:11 “Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, Do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. 12 For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
Luke 21:15 for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you!

The Word of God Is Life
Proverbs 3:1 The words of God giveth life.
Proverbs 4:22 For they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.
John 6:63 The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life
Matthew 12:34 “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
You can change the condition of your heart by changing the confession of your mouth.
John 14:26 The Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, I have said unto you.
Romans 12:18 As much as possible, as far as it depends on you, live in peace with everyone.”
