Dennis spent much of his career as the lead instructor for Olds Colleges Turf grass Diploma program. Dennis is internationally recognized as a turf grass instructor, author of the Great Plains Turf grass Manual and the past executive director of the International Irrigation Auditors Association most recently retired as the executive director of the Alberta Golf Course Super Intendants Association.
Despite having had his head in his grass most of his life, Dennis also was a primary developer and teacher in an Intensive Train the Trainer program known as the Great Canadian Teachers Seminar.
He is a past instructor of mine, a colleague, and an old friend. He and his dear wife Nan are God Parents, to my Sons Dj, and Zach.
Dennis is Irish, a spiritual man, a mystic, who leads traditional sweats, reads and writes poetry, and loves cross-country skiing, road cycling, golf, and making custom T's
Dennis volunteers at the hospital and is a backup teacher for the local Tai Chi group, a group that he himself founded.
Dennis is affectionately called Den by his wife Nan, who is a retired librarian and local artisan.
Dennis and Nan two are avid ornithologists, contentedly enjoying their retirement living in their beautiful A-frame home in Olds and frequently disappearing to play dice at their cabin in Starland County.
