Then after that, we have a great guest on the show today! This man has quiet a fascinating mind. Mature beyond his years and one of the most sophisticated men you will ever meet, I have on the show today, the talented Eric Cerqueira. I mean you don’t get to talk to many people who are rising in the financial world, while also being a male model from time to time. Me and Eric have one of the most honest conversations about life on this podcast. We talk about listening and respecting other people’s opinions, how you get noticed in the work place, why failure can sometimes be a good thing in your personal and professional development. Plus he tells me how he has used his talents and god given look to help him get noticed in the world of modeling and photography and much, much more. I was very happy and profound with my honest and productive conversation with Eric and I know all of you will as well! (11:14)
- Eric tells me about graduating college and what it has been like looking for a job right out of college amongst the pandemic in the world of finance. He also tells me his biggest influence in motivating him to apply and go for his dream job out of school and how this person has made an impact on him. - We then talk about failure. We talk about how failure can be a good thing and why it is important to have failures in order to learn from our mistakes and better prepare us for the future. We both share stories on how failures made us stronger. (This includes why Eric went from Uhart to Fordham and Matt’s experience interviewing for an internship with The Tonight Show) (26:19)
- We talk about some of our favorite athletes and why these certain athletes are people to look up to. Me and Eric then talk about self worth and we talk about why you CANT let other people bring you down. Remember you’re always good enough! (40:14)
- We then talk about Kanye West and the impact he has made both in the music world and outside of it. We also talked about his Presidential Candidacy and we talked about how he compared to the other candidates (57:44)
- We then chat about opinions, hearing other people’s opinions whether we agree with them or not, and why it is important to have an opinion and listen to people who want to share it. (1:05:16)
- We talk about surgeons and why we have to continue to praise them and give them credit for what they do. (1:14:59)
Eric then tells me what it is like to be a male model. He talks about his start in the modeling world, what clients he worked for, if he’s walked down the runway, and what it is like shooting commercials. (1:19:48)
