1. There's a common thread throughout all religions - that your ego needs to be 'weakened'. Even the apostle Paul said 'I die daily'. It's a struggle to be present in the moment, to have oneself under control.
2. In the past, our ancestors put their blood, sweat, and tears into their land so that their future generations would always have a place to live, to work, to produce and be secure. But most people today aren't tied to the land anymore and give up this heritage in exchange for money.
