Description

Reese Boyd, your host for Saturday Morning Coffee, opens this episode of SMC in memory of MBPD Officer Jacob Hancher, who was killed in the line of duty this week, and Coastal Education Foundation CEO Stovall Witte, who passed away on Monday.  We have a COVID-19 Update, and Reese and Producer Glenn Dye discusses the growing evidence that the "lock downs" of the US Economy, or at least many sections of it, are not effective, are not the best way to respond to the pandemic, and in fact are doing more harm than good.  Reese discusses recent news related to COVID-19 and the Great Barrington Declaration, and the growing number of voices within the medical community who take issue with the manner in which much economic activity continues to be prohibited by the ongoing lockdowns.

Reese also discusses the 25th Amendment, and Speaker Pelosi's Nut-Bar Factor 5 suggestion that Congress create an independent commission to monitor the health of the POTUS and to continually monitor the fitness of the President to exercise the powers of that office.  Reese also takes a call from Wes the Economist to discuss the likely impact of the Biden Tax Plan on the US Economy, if Joe Biden wins the White House in November, plus the parting wisdom!

This epidote is dedicated to the memory of Jacob Fancher and Stovall Witte.
