INTERVIEW – Julio Arriola, Global Worship Pastor at Cross Church, Music Director for the 2015 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting

  1. You will be leading thousands of SBC messengers across varying demographic lines, people who are accustomed to many different contexts and styles. How do you guide them in a way that brings the people in the room together, rather than appealing to one particular preference over another?

  2. Over the last year, you have participated in a number of events that were all part of this call to extraordinary prayer, as laid out by Dr. Floyd. Tell us about how that experience has been. What were some of the highlights that you encountered in the last twelve months?

  3. What has been the most challenging aspect of planning the music for this year’s annual meeting?

  4. You basically have a blank slate to work with since this is the first year we’ve had this meeting format. How has the different scheduling from years past affected the planning?

  5. We know Shane and Shane will be helping lead us in worship on Wednesday morning. Who are some of the other artists who will be leading us from the stage?
