Two members of the Zero Waste Arlington committee - Emily Dertz and Jennifer Campbell - along with Za Restaurant co-owner Peter McCarthy, describe their new initiative, No Plastics Please. Za is one of six local eateries that have already joined No Plastics Please, and many more are likely to follow. If you eat out or in at Arlington restaurants, you'll want to know about this program, which is simple in design but potentially very impactful in tackling the problem of plastic excess.
