One of the most powerful thingsĀ we can do is work on getting exterminating the ANTS from our brain. (A)utomatic (N)egative (T)houghts, that have become our knee jerk reactions based on old stories that we have repeated to ourselves over and over again to the point where we are completely unaware of it and we believe that these simply are our thoughts.
The danger is that it eventually becomes a part of our self-talk and those words will eventually become our actions. Those actions will eventually form into habits. Those habits will ultimately become our values and our values will ultimately dictate our destiny. So, if what I'm thinking eventually becomes my actions and ultimately my destiny. How do I take care of what's going through my mind?
