-Columbia Values Diversity event will recognize local community members who have had a significant impact promoting appreciation of diversity and cultural understanding. Tickets will be available in November and the event will take place Thursday January 13th 2022 7am-9am at the Holiday Inn Expo Center.

-Missouri's first black bear hunt has ended. 12 bears were killed by Missouri hunters, or about 1.5% of the estimated current population of 800. The population of black bears is expected to double in the next 10 years according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
