In her 20s, Erica discovered skateboarding and the incredible community that came with it. However, she found that the community lacked representation of women. As a team manager and board member, Erica was often the only woman in the room. This lack of diversity spurred her to action, and she founded 100% Skate Club - a safe space for women and non-binary skateboarders to come together and skate. Today, the club has over 60 members and continues to grow. Erica’s journey is proof that when you can’t find the community you need, sometimes the best thing to do is build it yourself.
