There are some definite hidden treasures in Italy.
And Caldaro and San Michele-Appiano and their surroundings are 2 of them.
Most Americans won't make it to this part of Italy.
Tucked just a wee bit south of Bolzano, these towns in Südtirol are worthy of some time.
Why?
Well they ooze charm, are in a stunning location and there are a lot of vineyards surrounding them.
Plus there are some gorgeous lakes, loads of trails for hiking and biking and some very intriguing history.
So if you love wine, charming towns and the great outdoors you need to tune into this episode.
